A smarter way to handle emergency expenses. Safe, private online lending designed for everyday Canadians. Fast, reliable short-term loans in Canada. Approved in minutes, deposited instantly, and bad credit is welcome.
Approval, amounts, fees and terms are set by the lender and provincial rules.

A car repair, urgent household bill or essential purchase can arrive before the next paycheque. When savings cannot cover the expense, the priority is finding an affordable way to handle it without leaving the following week's bills unpaid.
E-transfer short-term loans in Canada are loans that a lender may send to a Canadian bank account through Interac e-Transfer after approval. The transfer method describes how funds arrive; the loan agreement determines the cost and repayment deadline.
365 Day Loans helps connect consumers with lenders and financial service providers. We do not issue loans or decide approvals. Available amounts, eligibility, repayment terms and deposit methods depend on the provider.
Start with our eligibility overview, then check any offer against the household budget before accepting.
An online request gives the provider information to assess the application. If approved, the lender provides an agreement explaining the amount, borrowing cost, repayment schedule and funding method. Accepting that agreement creates the repayment commitment.
If Interac e-Transfer is available, the provider sends funds using the contact details and banking arrangements it confirms with the applicant. Receiving an email or text notification is not the same as confirming an available account balance.
Keep a copy of the agreement and the provider's contact information. Those details are useful if a transfer is delayed or a repayment question arises.
“Short-term loan” is a broad description. Ask which product is actually being offered before comparing prices.
| Point to compare | Payday loan | Personal instalment loan |
|---|---|---|
| Repayment | Usually tied to an upcoming payday, subject to the agreement and local rules. | Payments spread across an agreed schedule. |
| Cost information | Borrowing charge and total amount due. | Interest rate, fees and total scheduled repayment. |
| Funding | May include e-Transfer if the provider offers it. | May also include e-Transfer; confirm the method. |
| Budget check | Can the amount due fit the next pay period? | Can every instalment fit alongside regular bills? |
FCAC describes payday loans as loans of up to $1,500 with terms of up to 62 days. That is general product information, not a promise that every applicant can borrow that amount or receive the longest term.
For borrowing over several months, explore our long-term loan and instalment options and confirm the actual product with the provider.
Three separate stages affect when money becomes available:
Interac says transfers are almost instant but may take up to 30 minutes depending on the bank or credit union. This describes transfer delivery, not the time from submitting a loan application to receiving funds. Verification, lender processing and other delays can lengthen the overall wait.
For an urgent bill, ask the provider: “When would the funds be released if the application is approved, and is anything still outstanding?” A preliminary decision or application acknowledgement does not confirm release.
Read the Interac e-Transfer FAQs for transfer information.
An application form may accept requests outside normal business hours. However, round-the-clock form access does not establish that a lender reviews applications and releases funds overnight.
Confirm evening, weekend and holiday processing before relying on a deposit time. A request submitted on Saturday may require additional review when staff are available.
Our weekend payday loan page covers related timing questions. Check the actual provider's schedule before making a payment commitment elsewhere.
Bad credit may affect the decision and terms offered. A provider may consider income and current financial commitments alongside credit history, but no application outcome is guaranteed.
Ask about credit checks before proceeding. Confirm whether there is a hard inquiry, a soft inquiry and no credit bureau inquiry for the particular product. These arrangements can differ between providers and between an initial assessment and final approval.
No credit check does not mean no verification. Identity, income and banking checks may still be required. Avoid treating “almost approved” or “no refusal” wording as a substitute for an actual decision and written agreement.
If a longer payment schedule is needed, our bad credit instalment loan page discusses the related borrowing option.
Requirements depend on the product, provider and location. Information requested may include:
Acceptance of pension, benefits or self-employment income is provider-specific. Confirm the income source and required evidence rather than assuming employment income is the only acceptable type.
Electronic verification may reduce paper submissions, but an online application should not be described as automatically requiring no documents. Check our Am I Eligible? page for the initial overview.
Funding by e-Transfer does not make a loan cheaper. The price comes from the credit agreement and the rules applying to that product.
For illustration, the following calculations use a payday borrowing charge of $14 for every $100 advanced. They are examples, not quotes from 365 Day Loans.
| Amount advanced | Example borrowing charge | Example total repayment |
|---|---|---|
| $300 | $42 | $342 |
| $500 | $70 | $570 |
| $1,000 | $140 | $1,140 |
These examples assume repayment on time, with no additional default-related costs. Review the actual agreement for the applicable charge, due date and consequences of a missed payment. Provincial rules and product availability must also be checked.
For a personal instalment loan, compare the APR, fees, number of payments and total repayment. Do not apply a payday fee example to a different credit product.
The FCAC payday loan guide explains costs and consumer considerations.
Identify the business issuing the loan. For a payday product, verify licensing with the relevant provincial authority. A familiar payment method does not establish that the lender is legitimate.
Write down the advance, all disclosed charges and the total payable. If there are several payments, add them together and check for separate fees.
Use the actual payment calendar. Confirm whether the first withdrawal happens before or after the next income deposit and how repayments will be collected.
Confirm the expected release time, the transfer recipient details and whom to contact if funds do not arrive. Check the bank account before assuming the money is available.
Subtract housing, groceries, utilities, transport and existing repayments from reliable income. If repayment would require another loan, reconsider the amount or explore another way to cover the bill.
Autodeposit can send incoming transfers directly into the registered account without a security question. Confirm the registered contact details and receiving account in the bank's app or online banking.
Verify unexpected transfer notifications with the sender through a known contact method. Be especially careful when a message asks for an advance payment to release promised loan funds.
If an expected transfer is missing, contact the lender to confirm it was sent and check with the bank or credit union about delivery. Do not submit another borrowing request simply because a notification has not arrived.
For a one-off bill, ask whether the business can accept split payments or move the deadline. Compare any available bank or credit-union borrowing option using its full cost. An employer pay advance may be another option if offered.
When shortfalls happen every pay period, another repayment can make the following month harder. Review recurring expenses and consider reputable credit counselling before adding debt.
It may, if the provider approves the request, completes its checks and releases the funds in time. Same-day receipt is not guaranteed. Ask about the expected release time for the actual application.
Some providers may consider applicants with bad credit. Decisions depend on their requirements and assessment. Check the offered cost and repayment date before accepting.
Some products may not involve a credit bureau check. Confirm this with the provider; other checks may still apply, and approval is not automatic.
No. An online form can remain available while lender reviews operate on a different schedule. Confirm overnight processing and funding separately.
Ask the provider about its funding requirements. Interac supports receiving arrangements with and without Autodeposit, but the provider may have its own process.
The amount depends on the product, applicable rules, income and provider's assessment. An advertised maximum is not a personal borrowing entitlement.
Contact the lender promptly and ask about available arrangements and costs. Obtain any agreed changes in writing. Do not assume the deadline has changed because a request for help was submitted.
The transfer method itself does not build credit. Ask whether the lender reports repayments to a Canadian credit bureau and how missed payments are handled.
Start with the amount needed and the repayment the budget can support. Then confirm the lender, product, total cost and funding schedule. A fast deposit is useful only when the repayment commitment is manageable.
